Oops, the tune that we played last night isn't called "Just Cruzin'" (although that is a great tune, too).
The new one we played is called Emmit's, and I think that Laurence Nugent named it after one of his twin sons. It's on his two for two album, track five I think, after "Within a mile of Dublin". I'll see if I can find the dots or and abc file somewhere. Maybe that's two tunes of the week then, and I haven't even learned the Badger one yet!

You've no idea how happy I am to have found the Snug Session. 2 days ago I received my permanent residency to come here from the UK. I have done loads of research & decided I wanted to live on Bowen as I live in tiny village with a really great community. The 1 issue however, was whether I'd be able to find a music session ....and this looks perfect. I play the guitar & piano accordion & also sing. I play in 2 very informal pub sessions a week & they vary between trad English & Celtic folk to some new folk stuff from Kate Rusby, Christy Moore etc. I'm extremely scared about coming over at the age of 40 on my own with Hoovey my black lab, but having found the Snug Session, I have a really good feeling that it's going to be a bit easier. I'm over in Jan looking to buy somewhere on BI, if not before. I may even bring my accordion.....

You've made my day!

Welcome, Rachel! There are plenty of musical opportunities on Bowen, and also in town!
